Welcome to St Peter’s Church

St Peter’s is one of five Church of England (Anglican) Churches in Newton-le-Willows and Burtonwood, that together form the Newton Team. The other churches in the team are St John’s (Earlestown), All Saints (Newton), Emmanuel (Wargrave) and St Michael’s (Burtonwood). St Peter’s School

We have very close links with our church school St Peter’s Primary. You can find more information at www.st-peters.st-helens.sch.uk.

If you are looking to use regular church attendance as reason for securing a higher priority place St Peter’s School, please note that parents of children should attend church at least once a month for 2 years prior to applying for a place. Please make sure that you register your attendance with an authorised attendance card for each child endorsed by an approved member of Church. During the weeks when St Peter’s was open for worship between July 2020 – April 2021 confirmation of attendance was emailed to parents by Rev Grey.

Due to the current COVID-19 pandemic, the Governing Board of St Peter’s CE Primary School has worked with The Diocese of Liverpool and the Office of the Schools Adjudicator (OSA) to seek a variation to the admissions arrangements for 2021 and 2022. Please refer to the Variation Notice to Parents for more information.
