Welcome to St Peter’s Church

St Peter’s is one of five Church of England (Anglican) Churches in Newton-le-Willows and Burtonwood, that together form the Newton Team. The other churches in the team are St John’s (Earlestown), All Saints (Newton), Emmanuel (Wargrave) and St Michael’s (Burtonwood). We have a vibrant, warm and friendly congregation who enjoy worship and seek to serve our community.  Please browse our website to find out more about the church, events and activities.

For all enquiries including weddings, baptisms and funerals, please contact the Team Vicar, Rev James Taylor at revjrtaylor@yahoo.com or on 07341 940 975.

St Peter’s School

We have very close links with our church school, St Peter’s Primary.  You can find out more about our school at www.st-peters.st-helens.sch.ukThe school is very popular, and governors have agreed admissions criteria for the school which is strictly applied.  Full details can be found on pages 23-24 of the St Helens Primary Education Booklet 2025/26

If you are hoping to use your attendance at church to secure a higher priority place for your child, then please ensure that you have your “attendance card for school admission” stamped before you leave church.
